We are in the August Issue of Romantic Homes

We are in the August issue of Romantic Homes.  It's a dream come true, for myself and the Shop Girls.

I want to thank Jo-Anne Coletti, who contacted me in March, and asked if she could shoot the At Home With White Show.  Of course, I was thrilled.  So now, to see the actual article and pictures is beyond what I thought it could be.  When I took over the shop six years ago, this was the dream.  To have the shop in a magazine, and I'm so glad it is Romantic Homes.

We are definitely "Shop Proud".  Every shop girl is constantly striving to be the very best.  I am always pushing everyone to do more, to be over the top in displays and creativity.

Now, everyone can see how talented the Shop Girls are, and how dedicated they are.  All the work has paid off.

But, we won't be sitting back taking it easy.  We are constantly thinking of ways to improve and expand the At Home With White Show (even though it is quite amazing), and to make it more enjoyable for all our loyal customers, and for all our new customers as well.

But for now, I am just so happy and proud to be in the August issue of Romantic Homes.  Woo Hoo!!!

I met HGTV's Cari Cucksey at Pettengill Farm Today

What a thrill it was to meet Cari Cucksey, from HGTV's Cash and Cari, at The Vintage Bazaar at Pettengill Farm in Salisbury today.  This is the first time that I attended this vintage fair, and it was awesome.  I would definitely go again, hopefully with some of the shop girls.  They would love this.  The displays were inspiring, and the vendors were very talented.  I bought a few chippy and rusty things for the shop.  All in all it was a great day.

Pics from the "At Home with White Show" held earlier this month

So proud of all the hard work the Shop Girls put into the White Show.  It was a wonderful, windy and fun weekend.  It's been a few weeks, but it's never too late for some eye candy.  Enjoy!

Robin from Twisted Vintage was all about the bureau's.  They were stunning.

I actually took this beautiful dresser home with me.  Thanks Jeannie.

Sandi from A Cottage Muse and Karen K. shared a booth this year.  They worked together very well, and it showed in this great space.

Chris from Tutti Chic, had one of the anchor spots in the tent.  Her display was fabulous.

It was so windy, that Louise tied her big pieces of furniture to the tent poles.

Thanks to all our loyal and fabulous customers, who came out in the cold to support our annual show.  We're already making plans for next year.

The busiest shop in the area..............

We were so busy at the shop today.  Our wonderful customers were scooping up tons of Easter decor, furniture and all kinds of great stuff.

It's almost time for the White Show.

Get your cowboy boots ready for some serious shopping.

The "At Home With White Show" is the best vintage event in this area.  I hope you can all make it.

Only a Few More Weeks.......

Only a few more weeks until "The White Show" (April 6 & 7).
I love looking at pictures of what we had created.
This year, we have three new vendors that are soooo creative.  I can't wait to see what they will be bringing in, along with what all the other shop girls will have.

Sandi (A Cottage Muse) and Karen have a special surprise for everyone this year.

THANK YOU SUNDAY MORNING SHOP GIRLS

Instead of calling, I wanted to let everyone know what great shop girls I have working on Sunday mornings.  Sue Z., Jeanine and Robin aka Twisted Vintage.  They bought me this fabulous birthday cake for today, and waited for me to come to the shop this afternoon to celebrate.  I told the girls that I would be there for 1:30.  Well, unfortunately, I never made it to the shop on time.  I was in my storage unit painting.  When I finally got on the road, I looked at my watch, and it was already 1:45.  I missed seeing the girls, but they left me the best cake ever.  I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart.  They are all kind, hard working and I love having them at the shop.

Oh the possibilities.....................

The shop was closed today, due to some nasty weather.  So, I thought I would take some pictures of my Jake and my winter garden.

Isn't she beautiful?

Jake loves to be out in the snow.

I've been hunting and buying up a storm, getting ready for the "At Home with White" Show on April 6 & 7.  Ray is my painter, and he has been painting every day in our new storage unit.   I had a storage unit in the old Whiting and Davis factory in Plainville.  But, recently I moved into another area in the same building.  I'm very excited about this new space.  This space was, just until recently,  the showroom for Stephen Staples, the wonderful and creative wood worker extrodinaire.  Staples showroom is now in Wrentham on South Street, not too far from my shop.  Funny how things turn out.  This storage space has endless possibilities, let's just say, maybe for a future second shop??

New Beginnings for 2013

Working two jobs, doesn't give me time to do the things I want to do in my house.  One day at the shop, a customer was telling me that she was an interior designer.  She turned out to be Kathy Skogseth, from Inspirational Home Design out of Walpole.  Kathy and her partner, Erin Buckman do it all.  I needed wall paper removed, walls painted, wood floors re-done, basically the works, in the living and the office/work space.  I can tell you, they went above and beyond.  They really got me, and what I was all about.   I would go off to work in the morning and come home to find the most amazing work done.  I had alot of furniture and accessories for them to work with, but they would go into my shed or the loft in the garage and find things I didn't even know I had.

They came over one night and we talked about what I was looking for.  A few weeks later, they came back with a plan.  I can't say enough about Erin and Kathy.  They are life changing designers.  They even got everything done before the holidays, which was so special to me.
I'll be showing more pictures during the next few weeks of the wonderful work that they did.  But, I wanted to start the new year off by telling you what fantastic designers Kathy and Erin are. They gave me the best presents of all, new rooms, a new look, and a new start for the year.
