Brimfield last Friday

Last Friday, I went to Brimfield by myself.  It was hot, humid, but loads of fun.  I thought this was the best buying trip to Brimfield I've ever had.  On Saturday morning, I finally took everything out of my car and set it up in my driveway to take these pictures.  Someone stopped their car and asked if I were having a yard sale.  My husband, Ray, told them, in a serious tone, no this is a photo shoot.  They looked at us like we were crazy and drove away.  I took the shots and quickly brought everything into the garage.

This old journal from the early 1900's, was one of the last things that I had bought.  It didn't have a cover on it, but I saw that the entries were of home repairs and decorative purchases.  Very unusual, so I had to have it.

I had arrived in Brimfield around 8:15 and found that there was plenty of parking and no crowds at all.  I must have made 5 trips to the car to unload my wagon.  Which at the end of the day had broke (from too much weight).

At 2:30, I thought I had had enough.  But, as I drove down the road to the church on the corner, I noticed these pumpkin buckets and had to have some.  So I parked the car, again, and shopped for about another hour. 

When I saw these tin pieces, I thought, I can make chalkboards out of these.  That's the plan.

My one big purchase was a great weathered white washed potting table. I'll be bringing in all these items for the Vintage Fall Market on September 29 & 30.

I bought this chippy chair from some girls that recognized me from the shop.  They were from White Home Collection in Wilton, NH.  I was wearing one of the shops t-shirts, Peace Love Junk, which they commented on, and so did another woman in the area.  They actually have all been in my shop.  What a small world. 

I always start out by taking alot of pictures, but as the day goes on, and the more tired I get, I tend to forget about the pictures and just concentrate on buying.

If I had $145 to spare, I would have bought this vintage set of cement Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs garden statues.

This was my trip to Brimfield, a great buying trip. I can't wait to go again next year.
