Well, our Spring Open House is over, and what a weekend it was. So many of our devoted customers were in, along with first timers. The lemonade was flowing, and the atmosphere was electric. The weather was cold and rainy, but everyone's spirit's were high. One of our best customer's, Alice, who has been nursing a very bad knee, even came in hobbling, to purchase a beautiful lemonade set with hand painted roses that she had seen the week before. It's all she could think about, even with all her pain, now that is devotion. We have some great customers.
I also want to thank all the Shop Girls for pitching in to make the weekend a huge success!!! I love you all.
So many of the Shop Girls wares went flying out the door. Watch for new arrivals in the next few weeks to fill those booths up again with great items.

Home & Garden Spring Gala
Our Spring Open House starts tomorrow. All week long, the shop girls have been bringing in their garden finds, and setting them out on the front porch. There are some great vintage garden items, such as 50 year old mason jars in the original crate, right out of an old barn, old horse shoes and feed sacs. There are cupboards that Peter and Maureen made from old windows and doors, and even a bench made out of an old metal rail. There is an old wood flower cart filled with vintage enamelware. Peter and my husband, Ray, put up old barn doors on the side of the porch to enclose the area and make it feel more like a potting shed. If anyone is looking for a watering can, we have a great selection. If you haven't been to the shop yet, this would be a great time to explore. Did I mention, we are also serving lemonade. What a special treat.

"A Cottage Muse"
Inspiring, is the first word that comes to mind when I think of the blog "A Cottage Muse". Sandi, who I'm so thrilled and proud to say, has a booth in my shop, has become a good friend, and someone that I look forward to seeing every weekend. She's alway telling me of wonderful blogs to follow, and always has terrific ideas for the shop. I always run into her booth to see what shabby, chippy and yes, even glittery wares she has brought in. Here are two items that I recently bought from "A Cottage Muse", that I just love. A glittery "Wish", that hangs from an ornate gold mirror, next to my ruffley lamp shades, and an adorable chippy Guest towel holder, that proudly hangs on my bathroom wall.

Stay tuned for our upcoming Home & Garden Spring Gala
The shop will host their annual Spring Open House on March 26, 27, 28 & 29. We're trying something new this year, a four day sale, throughout the shop and porch. The plans are to transform the front porch into a Potting Shed. There will be new and vintage garden accessories throughout the spring and summer. When we start setting up, I will upload some pictures.
Easter is almost here...
I love spring. In looking around the shop, there is so much spring decor, I just had to share some of it with you.
